Description
Air-supported spraying, from a battery
The Birchmeier AS 1200 adds a battery-driven air stream to a Birchmeier battery sprayer. The sprayer feeds the spray solution at a controlled pressure. The AS 1200 picks it up in an air stream of up to 65 m/s and 1,200 m³/h and carries it up to 13 m. Paired with the REB 15 backpack sprayer, it becomes the Swiss Fogger: 3-in-1 WHO Compliant Modular ULV - Mist Blower - Fan Spray.
Why it performs
Pressure-controlled pre-spraying and an adjustable air stream carry the spray over the distance you need, with an even droplet spectrum and minimal loss of spray solution. The moving air also shifts the leaves, so the spray wets and penetrates foliage and shrubbery. More of the active ingredient lands on the target.
Five airspeed levels plus a turbo level let you match the reach to the job, from 1 m to 13 m. Nozzles change over with a quick coupling. The options include the ULV 015 special nozzle (droplets of about 30 µm), the NF 125 (about 60–70 µm) and antidrift flat-fan nozzles.
The Swiss Fogger: fogging results without the fogger
With the REB 15 backpack sprayer, the AS 1200 is sold as the Swiss Fogger. It is built to replace fogging machines, delivering the same results without diesel, smell or combustion exhaust. The AS 1200 runs on two CAS batteries and the REB 15 on one, so the whole system is cordless. It is backpack-carried, so one operator can move across a whole site: gardens, estates, hedges and drains.
In the box and in use
The AS 1200 AC1 comes with two 18 V 10 Ah CAS batteries (360 Wh) and the ASC 145 double quick charger. A full set of batteries runs from 25 minutes at the top blower level to 6 hours at level 1. Each battery charges in about 70 minutes and is rated for up to 1,000 charging cycles. The blower weighs 3.5 kg.
