We were honoured to host three expert speakers for an afternoon of insights on the evolving world of termite management.

Professor Lee Chow Yang opened the seminar with an overview of termites in today's urban environment, highlighting how growing cities are intensifying termite pressures on structures — and why proactive management is no longer optional.

Dr. Muney Serit then walked us through Sumitomo's rigorous R&D process, showcasing the standards behind their world-class termiticides and introducing their latest product: GANTNER 20SC.

Dr. How Yee Fatt rounded off the day with two innovations set to transform the industry:

• iTAS (Intelligent Termite Alert System) — a ground-based monitoring solution delivering real-time alerts the moment termite activity is detected in the soil, enabling swift response before damage sets in.
• GANTNER 20SC — Sumitomo's newest termiticide, not listed on Singapore's Hazardous Substances list, and backed by a 7-year warranty that surpasses the local industry norm of 5 years.
