A 50-litre sprayer on two wheels
The Birchmeier A 50 AC1 is a two-wheel battery sprayer for professional spraying jobs that are too big for a backpack. It carries 50 litres of solution on two robust wheels with a locking brake, with a 10 m hose for a large application radius. A battery-driven 12 V DC diaphragm pump does the pressurising.
Constant pressure, constant spray pattern
The electronic control lets you preset the operating pressure anywhere from 1 to 10 bar and keeps it at a constant level, while it also monitors the pump and the battery pack. Birchmeier explains that a constant pressure gives a constant spray pattern, which maximises effectiveness while reducing the amount of solution used. The flow rate runs from 1.1 to 3.3 l/min with the double Duro-mist nozzle holder, and the A 50 has a built-in mixing function.
One reliable CAS battery
The A 50 runs on one 18 V LiHD 8.0 Ah CAS battery pack, supplied with the ASC 55 quick charger, and the pack charges in under 160 minutes. Depending on the pressure and accessories, one charge lasts up to 16 hours and up to 1,065 litres. At 2 bar with two 1.5 mm Duro-mist nozzles, Birchmeier rates it at 8.1 hours and 750 litres. The quick-change system lets you swap in a charged pack and keep working, LED lights show the charge level, and packs of up to 10 Ah are available. It is zero emission and quiet, with a sound pressure level below 70 dB(A).
How to use
Fill through the large opening, which has a strainer, and empty the tank through the separate drainage opening. Fit one of the three nozzle configurations supplied: a double holder with two 1.5 mm Duro-mist nozzles, a 1.6 mm floodjet nozzle, or a single 1.5 mm Duro-mist nozzle. Set the pressure on the control panel and spray with the brass trigger valve, which has a blocking function. A holder on the frame stores accessories such as the XL 8 telescopic lance.
Where it fits
The A 50 suits PCO jobs that cover large outdoor areas from one fill, such as perimeter, garden and landscape treatments around estates, condominiums and large compounds, where a backpack sprayer would need constant refilling. It can also carry the Birchmeier AS 1200 battery spray blower for air-supported spraying. The A 50 is made in Switzerland by Birchmeier, a Swiss sprayer maker celebrating 150 years in 2026.
